Let me reveal who cliff hucker is... The guy who claims to "fight his fight's under his name"
Some data about Cliff Hucker.
He also uses the handle "Masons Owner", amongst others, I believe this is clever also because he has a pet named "Mason". Masons Owner, as many of you probably don't know, was a serious troll at www.lostsailorpub.forumup.it

How do I know it was Cliff? I mean, Dennis Gore? Cross references and a little help from some friends.
1) Dennis signed up for our 1984 petition for Rhino. He wrote: "12. dennis gore Please do not consider any shows performed after 1977 for official release"
http://www.petitiononline.com/mod_perl/signed.cgi?dogstarz&;1
But, there is more...
2) http://www.dead.net/member/masons-owner (note: Dennis Gore)
And yet more...
3) http://www.facebook.com/dennis.gore?v=wall (you can see some pictures of cliff dennis gore hucker here, and if you have seen his pictures here at the LMA, there is no longer any doubt who he is)

Names and IPs used at the Lost Sailor Pub:

Dennis Gore, would you like me to expose more info about you on the internet? To other places?
Or are you going to back off now? I would like a public answer.

Let's just say, I had a little help from some friends...

Anyhow, again, I am willing to stop. I have made that public. I just need Dennis to make it public to...

You guys are all a little wacky -- the best period for the GD was Summer 1985 - Chinese New Year's '86 (Year of the Tiger)!

Most of it was played in the Bay at Henry J. Kaiser, except for the Donner peaking at Boreal Ridge. If you don't believe me just check the charts in the akashic records.

While this might be impressive cyber-detective work, I am not sure as a person who is running a site that people have to register to use, that it is good practice to put out such information. I am sure that some people who have been pissed off by Cliff's bashing of the LSP found it humorous, but I suspect there are as many who now are concerned that if they rub you the wrong way, you may publicly let out what was in part provided as private information.

This statement comes from your registration site:

"You agree not to post any abusive, obscene, vulgar, slanderous, hateful, threatening, sexually-oriented or any other material that may violate any applicable laws. Doing so may lead to you being immediately and permanently banned (and your service provider being informed). The IP address of all posts is recorded to aid in enforcing these conditions. You agree that the webmaster, administrator and moderators of this forum have the right to remove, edit, move or close any topic at any time should they see fit. As a user you agree to any information you have entered above being stored in a database. While this information will not be disclosed to any third party without your consent the webmaster, administrator and moderators cannot be held responsible for any hacking attempt that may lead to the data being compromised."

Seems to me you just violated that last sentence of this agreement. I hope you have a good lawyer. Even if there is no legal recourse, I think anyone who sees this thread will think twice about joining your site. Not sure you did yourself any favors. I hope it was worth it.

well, dude, if the guy hadn't trolled around and then harassed me constantly here, I wouldn't have posted his dynamic IP addresses. He was warned.

I have over 700 members, and how many IP addresses?
And, how many have I posted? Only one persons.

Pretty weak post actually elbow. That's cool. I get your point, but when cliff started talking about vaginas on my site, repeatedly, I think standard protocol went out the window... no? When asked to stop? When using several user names simply to be insulting? At what point would you have drawn the line?

Sorry that I did not live up to your standards, I'll try harder next time. However I don't think you got my point. I don't care if Cliff is acting like a troll at your site. I'll admit that I don't understand why he bothers but that is not my business. It seems to me that you have a certain responsibility as someone that runs a site and has that information. Sure its 1/700 but that's one more than I am comfortable with and I suspect I am not alone. I believe part of that agreement also says that you have the right to delete offensive material. I think you should deal with that at your site and not dump it here (too offensive for LSP but not for those swines at the GD forum at IA?). As for his comments here about you, well I think those you should deal with here, but not by dumping stuff here that is "too offensive" for LSP or by releasing information that you received and said you would not release as part of an agreement. Two wrongs make a right? Personally if I were you, I would ban Cliff from LSP (i am sure if he re-registered it wouldn't take many post to figure it out or find out how deadhook manages to ban people and prevent the multi-posting) and I would ignore him here. If you and some of your friends would not respond, then it would die. When Jackie Robinson first broke the color barrier in baseball, the Dodgers owner Branch Rickey asked him not to respond to the insults that he was going to receive from other teams. Robinson questioned him about this and asked him why he didn't want him to "be a man" and defend himself. Rickey told him that he would be more of a man if he ignored it. Cliff has not done himself any favors in the eyes of many because of his stance on several things, however instead of letting him make his mistakes and being above the fray, you and some of your friends choose to jump in and get dirty with him. Take this thread as an example. If you notice the initial responses to this thread, they were not about LSP they were about the music. I know I based part of my response on a debate I attempted to have with you regarding the To Terrapin release and I don't believe it was derogatory in any way to you or LSP. In fact it appears that no one actually decided to use Cliff's post to bash you or LSP. Instead we turned into a positive and interesting conversation about the music. Who knows maybe if you hadn't decided to turn the post about Cliff, maybe he had inadvertently given people a reason to check out LSP. Pretty ironic eh?

My problem with you Kochman is that you use this place but offer nothing in return. You lurk, I suspect because the music-related conversations here are very good. You only post to let new lurkers know of LSP (you said this yourself somewhere in one of these threads) and even when you did try to post about music, you hold back because you clearly don't want to use your "A" material here. I recall your response to my questioning you about calling May '77 overrated was that you understood what I was asking but you didn't want to respond "here" about it. Now you are using this place as a dumping grounds for the problems you have had at LSP with Cliff. Does this make you a troll? I don't think so. Selfish? Maybe.

Good luck with your site in the new year.

This precisely right, KMan. elb has made the point better than I did above. You have violated the trust of every person that posts at your site. You cannot, as I said before, hide behind "returning the favor!".

It's as if you're a bad cop; running a site entails responsibility. Sure, if a criminal does something to you you can cry foul, but you can't use your position of power to abuse the criminal...unless you're from Jersey...How would I, someone fearful of web based abuses to start (as a Luddite/techno twit) EVER feel I could come over to your site now??? I'd assume those that love 68 are next...I'd never post without pulling my punches for fear of upsetting someone with info about me, etc.

So, live up to the trust that was placed in you, and just return to your healthy, happy, busy site with all that it entails to make it better and self fulfilling.

Then, drop by and we can discuss Stanligrad and the T-34 sometime over here!

Happy New Year, kid!

Cliff has at least 5 accounts at LSP... and a dynamic IP (as I have shown)

Pass judgment on me all you like, I am just trying to get Dennis to stop his BS.
